Halloween is almost over and soon everyone will be preparing for the following holiday season. More and more children will begin begging their parents for pet-related games and toys for the holidays, then eventually beg for a real pet. A pet based on their virtual or toy pets that turn into more responsibility than they can handle or become aggravated with because the pet is nothing like their virtual ones, leaving the animal’s fate in their parent’s hands.
But one game company, Spil Games, created a game to help educate young girls about the importance of caring for a pet through their online game Animal Shelter at GirlsGoGames.com.
PlayStation Store Update: PSP Game sales and Inferno Pool (November 1 to 7, 2009)

This week’s first featured downloadable game is Inferno Pool for $9.99 on the PS3. But this isn’t the old school game of pool we all know and enjoy. In fact, this game takes pool to a whole new extreme challenge for up to four players.

Gaia Online hosts week-long Demonbusters event for Halloween
Halloween is the one night children across the united states dress as their favorite superhero, villain or monsters and stroll the streets at night in search of candy. But Halloween doesn’t have to end on October 31, 2009.
Now until November 6, 2009, Gaia is hosting a week-long Halloween event called Demonbusters where Gaians can continue their Halloween fighting demons and stocking up on virtual Halloween gear.

Located under the same map as the original Uncharted world is the new Uncharted 2: Nepalese Village. A gorgeous place and, once you are loaded in, you are given a piece of a mask to start your treasure hunt to unlock one of three mini-games in this new area.
Also new: Tekken 6: Mishima Zaibatsu’s Recreation Floor, Street Fighter 4: S.I.N.‘s Secret Base and a zombie hunt…

Sony Home Update: Zombies invade Home once again

In an Halloween-style event along with a new personal space has been released that will transform all that enter into zombies. In much the same fashion as the Hamster invasion earlier this year, Home residents are divided in a virtual protest.
A new in-world space is loaded with activities, mini-games and all things Ratchet and Clank to include a store with Ratchet and Clank-themed items available for purchase.

PlayStation Store Update: Exploring a tree and sniping enemies (October 18, to October 24, 2009)
This week’s featured downloadable game is Topatoi: The Great Tree Story for $9.99. Players control a vehicle that operates much like an old fashioned children’s spinning top toy through a platform puzzle to make their way up a tree by leaping, spinning or rolling through, over or across moving platforms.
This week’s PSP downloadable game is SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Tactical Strike for $15.99.

Sony Home Update: PixelJunk Museum, Dethklok and charitable purchases from EA

This week the PlayStation Home has partnered with EA Sports to create exclusive virtual items to support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At the mall gamers will find interesting items featuring the art work of Jon Burgerman, a UK based artist who brings unique and exclusive art items such as virtual clothes and tattoos for avatars as well as future art for in-home virtual spaces to the PlayStation Home.
Also, the Pixel Junk Museum just opened its virtual space filled with all things Pixel Junk to include videos, displays with descriptions of the creatures or vehicles found in games including Pixel Junk Shooter, Pixel Junk Eden, Pixel Junk Monsters and Pixel Junk Racers.
PlayStation Store Update: Cute Critters with bad habits (October 11 to October 17, 2009)
This week’s featured PS3 downloadable is a cute little game featuring a cute little critter named Biggs titled Critter Crunch for $6.99 and the PSP downloadable game features NBA 10: The Inside for $29.99 with new quests, new modes and minigames.

Everybody’s Golf space just opened, this golf themed lounge area for Hot Shots Golf game fans comes to us from Japan, visitors to the space can participate in an in-world survey to unlock a reward item for their personal space.
