Gamertell Review Kumatanchi for DS (Japanese import)
The best way to describe Kumatanchi is to compare it to those popular little electronic eggs known as Tamagotchis. Much like a Tamagotchi, Kumatan must be occasionally fed but, unlike a Tamagotchi, the Nintendo DS does not alarm you when it’s turned off. Just because you may be able to turn off your DS doesn’t mean that the world of Kumatanchi stops.
The fact that she demands so much attention made it easy for me to want to pick on her. So, when Kumatan began hating me, this is where my real fun began…
Gamertell Review: OneChanBara: Bikini Samurai Squad for Xbox 360
OneChanBara: Bikini Samurai Squad is essentially a hack-and-slash game that puts you in charge of a group of lovely ladies who aren’t afraid to break a nail or two in order to save a defenseless Japan against hordes of undead creatures.
As therapeutic as peeling an orange, there’s just something that about the feeling of steel cut through flesh that somehow satiates the soul. With buckets and buckets of blood to be splattered, you better be sure not to wear any articles of white to this party…
Gamertell Review: Star Ocean: Second Evolution for PSP
The stars in the sky beckon once again for a worthy adventurer to delve into its great abyss in Star Ocean: Second Evolution (SOSE) where a young ensign mistaken for a hero of legend and an orphaned girl blessed with the power of healing find themselves bound together in a great excursion filled with discovery and deceit.
This is the second game in the Star Ocean universe following Star Ocean (PS)/Star Ocean: First Departure (Sony PSP) and, unlike its predecessor, players have the option to experience the game through the point of view of two different characters: Claude or Rena. While the overall storyline remains the same for each, whom you choose to experience this adventure with determines which characters you can recruit later on as well as different dialogue during events…
Gamertell Review: Ar Tonelico 2: Melody of MetaFalacia for Playstation 2
Ar Tonelico 2 is definitely a unique experience with a magnificent soundtrack to match. The voice acting is actually skillfully translated and even if you still don’t like it, you can easily switch to the Japanese track. Not many other games incorporate a dating simulation aspect that’s required to encourage growth of and between characters.
The battles are a fast-paced adrenaline rush that doesn’t allow the laziness of players who like keep one finger glued to a certain button during all battles like most other RPGs.
And find out why the phrase “pixelated fudgie bath orgy” is important…

Gamertell Review: Princess Waltz for PC
Princess Waltz is a very text-intensive visual novel with a dash of eroticism. Most of the text is thankfully accompanied by Japanese voice-overs except for dialogue that originates from the omniscient narrator and Arata himself. Most of the battles that don’t involve you require you actually use your noggin to visualize the frantic pace with the assistance 6th grade level vocabulary descriptions.
The story is charming, the characters are glistening, the card battles are fun but, unfortunately, all of its strong points are marred by the fact that this game progresses at the pace of a stepped on grandpa snail….
