Deal Spotting: Walmart offering $20 eGift card with Modern Warfare 2 preorder
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is going to be huge. It will probably be the biggest videogame release of 2009 and may even break a few records in the process. Demand for COD: MW2 is through the roof so retailers are thinking of creative ways to get buyers into its stores to pick up the game. The latest contender for your MW2 dollars is Walmart which is giving a $20 eGift Card to anyone who preorders COD: MW2 online. The eGift Card is limited to one per customer and can only be used online.
Walmart isn’t stopping its blitz with the gift card. More than 2,400 24-hour Walmart locations will start selling MW2 at 12:01a.m. on November 10, 2009.
Rule the undead in Zombie Tycoon for PSP

Everyone is into killing zombies these days.
A couple games, including Left 4 Dead 2 and Borderlands, will feed our zombie addiction over the next several months. Handheld zombie games, however, seem to be few and far between. Who wouldn’t want to kill zombies on the go or how about controlling them?
This is what Zombie Tycoon is all about. Zombie Tycoon has been released today (October 29, 2009) on the PlayStation Store for $7.99 and is the latest game to grace the PSP Minis library.
Brütal Legend downloadable content free for two weeks via PSN
Just because Rocktober is entering its last days doesn’t mean the metal has to die along with it.
Double Fine isn’t done melting faces online and is about the release a new map pack for Brütal Legend called “The Tears of the Hextadon” via PSN on November 5, 2009. PS3 owners will also be able to download the maps free until November 19, 2009. The Xbox Live DLC will probably come a couple of days earlier but Microsoft has it priced at 400 MS points (or US$5).
‘Splosion Man now supports avatar awards
Splosion Man was one of the shining jewels in the Xbox 360’s summer of arcade festivities earlier this year (2009). It involved the simple concept of exploding your character through platform-heavy levels to end the stage. Splosion Man is also one of the first games to give awards that can be used by your Xbox 360 avatar.
Twisted Pixel sent a press release about a patch for Splosion Man that adds avatar awards in the form of clothing and fixes some multiplayer issues.
Fat Princess patch features a free multiplayer map

Fat Princess got off to a shaky start when it was released.
Even though it received high marks during its beta phase, the final build was riddled with game crippling bugs including severe online lag and balance issues. These problems were fixed in a timely manner and the world of Fat Princess was back to its colorful, calorie-filled self.
Shortly after the games release Titan Studios began teasing a new map appropriately called “New Pork” which features a more urban environment. We now know this level will be included in a free patch that will be released on October 29, 2009.
Rumor: Nintendo to release DSi with larger screen in Japan
Nintendo usually waits a couple years before changing the hardware on its handheld devices but it just may break tradition this time around. According to a report from Nikkei news service (via a quick NeoGaf translation of a blog post), Nintendo will release a new DSi in Japan this year (2009) with a screen that is approximately 4 inches. The screen on the current DSi is 3.25 inches.
Overall it’s not a major difference in appearance but Nintendo is going after a different consumer demographic. This new strategy is directed towards older would be gamers who would probably find the larger screen easier to interact with.
Free Uncharted 2 downloadable content will be available before 2010

Without seeing the NPD sales figures for October 2009 one would probably not be too far off in assuming that Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be one of the top selling games of the month.
Uncharted 2 already packs in about 12 hours of single-player gameplay but its multiplayer mode adds an uncountable amount of playtime. Even with all that gaming goodness, owners of the game will be pleased to know that Uncharted 2 will get more content before the end of 2009.
