Rumor: Battlestar Galactica coming to theaters
According to IGN, Battlestar Galactica may be heading to the big screen soon. Unfortunately, fans hoping to see the current Sci-Fi Channel re-imagined BSG in theaters will have to make do with the original series instead.
If the rumor is to be believed, Universal has negotiated with series’ creator Glen A. Larson to write and produce a big-screen adaptation of his original BSG series. The film will retell the original story and not be related to the current series. It is expected to include ol’ faves Adama, Starbuck, Baltar and Cylons.
The original Battlestar Galactica was the most expensive series of its time with only…

Rare restructuring its “current approach,” might involve layoffs

Gamertell Review: The Lord of the Rings: Conquest for the Xbox 360
Conquest is, and wants to be, a Star Wars: Battlefront clone. Not only is Pandemic Studios the developer of this title (they were the studio responsible for the previous two Star Wars: Battlefront games), but Conquest borrows many of the same elements and characteristic of the Battlefront series. Unfortunately, if you were a fan of that series, then don’t expect the same thrills this time around with LOTR: Conquest.
The story is by far the only real thing that works for this title. Not only does it follow the film’s primary plot line, more importantly, and more enjoyable, is the “What if” scenario call, Rise of Sauron...
Aliens: Colonial Marines pushed back, role-playing game possibly cancelled
Japanese publisher Sega seems to have no love for the long-delayed, canceled and then reborn Aliens: Colonial Marines as it has decided once more to push the game’s release back yet again for a possible 2010 release, instead of its original Q1 2009 release.
Originally in development for the Playstation 2 back in 2001, the game was dropped by then publisher EA. In 2008, Texas based Gearbox Software reported that it was developing Aliens: Colonial Marines for all current-gen systems. Sega would be the publishers.
Sega also had another Alien’s game in the works, which was a rumored…
