How exciting this news will be to you depends on whether you’re in love with Guitar Hero, but Todd McFarlane toys is readying the first line of 6’’ figures based on the GH characters. GameLife reports that the figures will be out this November, alongside Guitar Hero World Tour. Each will retail in the range of $10-15, and comes with it’s own little guitar. I guess this is cool and all, but where’s my girl, Judy Nails?

Important Importables: Fun summer gadgets from Japan
Wow! Important Importables falls on the Fourth of July this year! So I figured this week’s column should focus on some fun, Japanese gadgets that you can buy online now, and have in time for the Fourth. You know the kind of things I’m talking about. They’re the items that you look at and go, “That is so cool! Why don’t they have these in (country you live in)?”
But these aren’t just any gadgets or toys. These are things that are perfect for enhancing your summer experience. Every summer has a few days where you’re absolutely stumped as to what to do. While the items I suggest might not totally revitalize your day, at the very least they’ll be a cool discussion starter.
Yumm, Pokeburgers
Pokemon fanatics will want to borrow a kid and head to Burger King after the Fourth of July. Burger King will be running a special, worldwide kid’s meal Pokemon promotion from July 7 to August 3, 2008.
The official website (which isn’t open yet) will display the prizes that will come with the meal. Along with the obligatory toy, each meal will also come with one of 12 Pokemon Trading Card Game: Diamond & Pearl cards. The cards will likely be handed out at random, so visitors might have to eat quite a few meals to collect them all.
Important Importables Mini: The Uki Uki Chocobo
This has to be one of the cutest, Square Enix-related items I’ve seen. In honor the of the recent Chocobo’s Dungeon Wii release, the Uki Uki Chocobo was created. Yup, he’s a little rubber duck Chocobo, which NCSX is affectionately referring to as a “rubber chocky.” NCSX is also taking preorders for the $13.50 item, which is expected to ship before the end of June, 2008.
This adorable little chocobo can either be used like a rubber duck, helping defend you against bathtub kraken (like Ultros) or act as a decorative accent on a shelf. Either way works, and either way is incredibly cute. It is also appropriate for all ages, since its a solid chunk of plastic.
Gamertell Review: Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures for DS
Title: Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
Price: $29.99
System(s): DS (Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation2, PC, Wii, PSP)
Release Date: June 3, 2008
Publisher (Developer): LucasArts (TT Games)
ESRB Rating: “Everyone” for carton violence.
Pros: Good sense of humor, decent action, fairly easy to pick up and play, cute graphics and fun-to-play characters. Nice unlockables including touchscreen minigames.
Cons: Jumping can be a bit inaccurate and camera is sometimes wonky or puts playable character out of view.
Overall Score: One thumb up, one thumb sideways; 87/100; B+; * * * 1/2 out of 5
There’s plenty of hidden stuff and lots of unlockables, both feeding the addictive nature of completionist gamers and giving everyone else a reason to go back and replay levels as incongruous characters. It’s silly, it’s fun and it’s not going to be banned by anyone. Get it, play it and share it with your family and friends.

I bet you never thought your favorite childhood toy could suit-up to fight the Covenant, but the incredibly talented AnimeAmy has made it a reality. Two more Target gift cards targeting gamers
For those of you who read our other Dabbledoo site, Gadgetell, you might recall my long-ago post about Target’s videogame gift cards. It seems the coolness factor of gaming hasn’t been lost on Target, which continues to release game-related cards all year ‘round.
Right now in Target stores you can find two gamer gift cards. The first, pictured above, is a flat, rubbery card shaped like a game controller. It’s a bit thicker than…
