Once upon a time, a long time ago, the Playstation had a wonderful, dance/puzzle game called Bust a Groove. It was similar to Parappa the Rapper, and it had players pushing buttons to make characters dance. It became a cult classic, but was possibly ahead of its time.
Cue Audition Online the spiritual successor to Bust a Groove. The campy feel of the original game was gone, but the button-pressing dance goodness lived on. In Korea, Audition Online’s birthplace, the game became so popular that it spawned a PSP version - Audition Portable. Audition Portable is essentially a pint-sized version of Audition Online and is a lighthearted PSP game rhythm fans will enjoy…

The Simple Series is a staple in Japan and are a line of budget-priced games released by D3 Publisher for the Dreamcast, Game Boy Advance, DS, Wii, PSP, PS1 and PS2. The games are typically by smaller developers and all of the DS titles are bargain priced at ¥2800.
This makes them a great way for people who normally don’t import video games to give them a try (especially since the PSP and DS are region-free.) Simple DS Series Volume games for the DS usually start at $28 and older entries can be as cheap as $19. For people who have never imported before, this can be a way for people to test and see if they could play a game filled with…

LemonQuest presents Circulate Prologue for iPhone, iPod Touch
There is no shortage of games coming down the pipeline for Apple’s brand of handheld devices. One of the latest games to hit the App Store is from LemonQuest called Circulate Prologue. That “prologue” at the end of the title is meant to indicate that the game is not yet complete. It’s more of a beta version that gives just a taste of what the complete game will offer. Still it’s not a bad purchase for only .99 cents.
Circulate Prologue takes advantage of the…
Valve clarifies Xbox Live’s Portal expansion
Reports last month of additional content to paradigm-busting, platitude-eliciting puzzler Portal were heart-stopping revelations for die-hards Valve fans.
But, according to GameSetWatch, Valve’s Doug Lombardi said the new levels for Portal will be culled from the Portal: The Flash Game map pack. While there’s still plenty of reasons for console players to be happy, there are now a few to get riled up about, too…

It’s available on the two sites above in a demo version and a $19.95 retail version.
Marker Man and Doodle Dog stop by E3
Majesco’s been revealing lots of solid information on its forthcoming games, and Marker Man isn’t being left out. The DS game is a physics based, drawing, puzzle game for the Nintendo DS that is scheduled to be released in time for the 2008 winter holidays. Don’t let the simplistic title and story fool you, Marker Man sounds challenging.
Marker Man follows the adventures of, you guessed it, Marker Man. His pet, Doodle Dog, has disappeared. So now players have to help Marker Man manage his way through 150 puzzles to find his lost dog. This is accomplished by drawing geometric shapes on the touch screen to help Marker Man reach the end of each level.
