Open Letter: Hey, Nintendo, reveal Zelda Wii already, will ya?!

by Jenni Lada on Feb 6, 2010 at 09:13 AM

I’ve had it. I’ve had it with the smoke and mirrors, subtle hints and deception. Just announce the next Legend of Zelda Wii game already! It’s not that I‘m interested in it. I’m still playing my way through The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I’m sick of the teasing, hinting… Continue Reading »

Gamertell Review: Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes for DS

by Kirk Hiner on Feb 5, 2010 at 04:35 PM

Clash of Heroes is set in the venerable Might & Magic universe. I’ve played a couple of those games on my Mac, but this entry is quite a bit different. It’s not your traditional turn-based strategy game, but an odd mix of that, RPG and Bejeweled-style gem matching games. If… Continue Reading »

Gamertell Review: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for Wii

by Kirk Hiner on Feb 4, 2010 at 09:45 AM

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers has a lot going for it. The graphics are fantastic, the story and characters are fun, and the action is varied and frantic…when you’re actually doing something. And yet, the game is never quite as enjoyable as it should be. It meanders and… Continue Reading »

Analysis: Gaming on Apple’s upcoming iPad (updated)

by PJ Hruschak on Jan 28, 2010 at 01:11 PM

At first glance it is an oversized iPod Touch complete with a screen for the primary surface area (although a wider-than-iPhone border), a Home button, a SD card slot along the side, a USB port and a bottom power-dock slot. As a game system, the iPad certainly has the screen… Continue Reading »

Opinion: We need more awesome mainstream games for women

by Jessica Moen on Jan 22, 2010 at 01:04 PM

What I am annoyed about is the way certain games are marketed. It’s as if game companies are not even considering women when developing certain games or, worse, being very stereotypical when creating games for women. First I want to point out that almost every game out there has a… Continue Reading »
