An open letter to Nintendo about Wii Sports Bowling
Domo Arigato Nintendo,
I want to personally thank you for your ingenious Wii game console. I recently purchased one for my family and wanted to provide you with the feedback only the proud Dad of a 5-year-old can give.
#$%$% you.
Let me describe for you the feeling of being beat being humiliated by someone 1/15th my weight, who has no practical real-world experience, no knowledge of physics, trig or geometry and no checking account. It hurts, bad…

Frogger comes to the iPod Touch and iPhone
Konami’s gaming classic Frogger is now available in the Apple App Store. The game has been tweaked to work on the iPhone and iPod Touch, while still preserving classic Frogger gameplay. The game is $9.99, and you’ll need the iPhone 2.0 software to play it.
Basically it is the same game as before, just with touch screen controls and updated graphics. You guide the frog from one side of the road, across the river, to the safety of the bank. If you aren’t careful - you’re roadkill.

Blue Dragon Plus coming soon to Japan
The Japanese release date for the DS follow-up to Blue Dragon, titled Blue Dragon Plus is creeping closer. On September 4, 2008, the real-time strategic rpg will be released in Japan. So far a North American release hasn’t been announced, but since Konami released Blue Dragon in the US and the DS is the Nintendo’s golden child.
Blue Dragon Plus picks right up where the Xbox 360 rpg Blue Dragon left off. King Jibral and Zola have discovered a strange and possibly evil dragon shadow in a cube world, and Shu, Kluke, Jiro, Marumaro and Zola have to go investigate it. The game looks similar to Heroes of Mana and Final Fantasy XIII: Revenant Wings, so if you enjoyed those, you’ll probably like Blue Dragon Plus.
Grand Theft Auto IV announced for PC

Gamers can expect the same expansive, satirical gameplay from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, along with expanded…
The eerily realistic politics of Blacksite: Area 51
Blacksite: Area 51 is one of the first games to question why we are forcing ourselves into such a bad situation. While it does it in a way that doesn’t entirely follow the true political reality, the message is quite clear that America might be completely screwed.
There’s a lot to take in. From the war on terror to war in America’s own streets this game mocks the politics of fear. Sure, the game is beautiful even without the blatant political insults to presidential administrations past and present. There’s just something about the war in Iraq ending to fight a domestic threat that makes it even more intriguing…
Important Importables Mini: MGS4 x Figumate Sweet Snake
These are just too cute. And yet, somewhat disturbing. Konami is teaming up with Figumate to create Metal Gear Solid figures. No big deal, right? I mean, video game companies team up with Japanese figure companies all the time in Japan. Except that Ocelot, Snake, Raiden and Otacon will be represented as girl in the collection.
The series, known as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots X Figumate Sweet Snake will be sold through Konamistyle as a set of four. Each one is only 7 cm, so they’ll really be the perfect size to put anywhere. The set comes out December 11, 2008 for ¥2,940, roughly $30, and if you really must have them, I’m sure you’ll find a set on eBay or some in some Japanese online hobby shop.
